Marathon Day 32, Saturday 16th April, Swansea

Strange to wake up to the sounds of ducks quacking (makes a change from Barry's snoring!) and then the quick realization that it's nothing to do with Challenge66 but just the sounds of early morning canal wildlife.
It's also a special day for Jeannie - it's her birthday and "we" have a special birthday cake for her!
Jeannie's themed cake!!

We could delay no longer and cast off for our first lock experience - to be the 1st of 25 that day! We were actually pretty good at working them by the time we finished!

The report on Andy's progress was encouraging and he appears to be on the road to recovery - good news indeed!!
We had tremendous fun and ended the day at Curdworth, a marathon 18miles before ending the evening with a lovely meal (courtesy of Ellie) and appropriate alcoholic beverage!  And then to bed . . . .
