Marathon Day 48, Monday 2nd May - Preston, Moor Park

My objective for this morning was to collect the replacement  Timer Display kindly provided by ECM Systems Ltd.  This idea was rapidly curtailed with the realisation that today was a bank holiday!!  So we'll have the new display in time for the Glasgow Marathon!!

Ellie took me to the train station where I boarded the Manchester train en route to Preston.  3 hours later, Barry kindly collected me from Preston Station and it was just like I had never been away - there was that  aura of sameness about everything!

I arrived in time to see Andy's final couple of laps. He looked  remarkably fit although still suffering with his back and finished in a time of 7hrs 4mins.
. . . and number 48 is over!

Very brief journey to Fulwood Barracks where we completed the proverbial water treatment, both replenishment and disposal!

Then Snooker to watch while dinner is being prepared and an early night is planned.

Mmmm - pasta bake followed by Ellie's coffee cake - scrumptious!

Hi Sweetie

Daddy's on his adventure again but will be back at the end of the week to see you.
You are growing up so much you seem to be bigger every time I see you!
Mummy tells me that Frankie is having a sleepover tonight.  I bet you enjoy playing with her.

Will talk to you in the morning son.

Love you.
Daddy
